The eastern half of the itinerary features bustling, upscale neighborhoods known for art galleries, high-end boutiques, and diverse dining options, stretching along Granville Street. The area combines historic charm with urban sophistication, offering a lively community and proximity to Granville Island. The Kitsilano region was Vancouver’s hippy hangout in the 1960s, drawing comparisons to San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury. This itinerary covers a large area. 1.Ā UNIT/PITT Society for Art and Critical Awareness is a charitable non-profit artist-run organization located on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish First Nations, in Vancouver BC. Exhibitions are presented in our gallery and in our outdoor garden space. We also continue to present our mail art and virtual programs. UNIT/PITT is also the publisher ofĀ ReIssue.pub, an online art writing magazine.
2.Ā The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery is mandated to promote understanding and discussion of contemporary art and contemporary issues in art history, criticism and curating. Our mandate is realized through research, exhibitions, acquisitions, publishing, education and public and academic programs in the field of contemporary art with a focus on our region within a national and international context. TheĀ UBC Fine Arts GalleryĀ was established in 1948 and located in the basement of Main Library on the University campus.

4.Ā MĆ³nica Reyes GalleryĀ (MRG)has been backing the growth and development of emerging and mid-career artists since 2013. MRG is also the founder of COMBINE Art Fair an annual event since 2021 that takes place at Griffin Art Projects in North Vancouver.Ā MĆ³nica Reyes Gallery is a driving force in the local art scene positioning as a driving force for its dynamic programming and social contributions.
5.Ā Bau-Xi Gallery was first establishedĀ in 1965Ā by Bau-Xi Huang in Vancouver to showcase the many Canadian artists in need of gallery representation on the West Coast. It is the oldest commercial gallery in Vancouver. The gallery has been aĀ member of the Art Dealers Association of Canada since the early 1970s and is a founding member of the South Granville Gallery Association. The gallery represents bothĀ Canadian and International artists, exhibiting Modern and Contemporary painting, photography, and sculpture in three art galleries in Toronto and Vancouver.
6.Ā Kurbatoff Gallery opened its doors in the heart of South Granville Gallery Row in 2002. We are committed to the promotion of contemporary Canadian artists, from emerging and mid-career to well-established. The Gallery offers a thoroughly selected, diverse collection of contemporary paintings, sculptures, and photography, and provides consultations to individuals and corporate clients to find the right place for every work of art.
7.Ā Marion Scott Gallery has a long history of showcasing art from the Canadian North. Specializing in both new and historical expressions from the Arctic in a range of media, the Gallery is committed to positioning the work of Canadaās Inuit artists in a national and international framework of contemporary art. We work closely with a select group of artists from Cape Dorset, Baker Lake and other northern communities, as well as Inuit artists based elsewhere.
8.Ā Douglas Reynolds Gallery specializes in historic and contemporary Northwest Coast Indigenous art. The gallery showcases museum-quality pieces that make use of contemporary media such as bronze, glass, aluminum, and forton. Artworks include masks, totem poles, bentwood boxes, sculpture, gold and silver jewelry, and early historic objects.
9.Ā Vancouver Fine Art Gallery represents well-established artists in contemporary Canadian and international art. Representing modern-day contemporary painting and sculpture and specializes in French impressionist, 20th century, and Old Masters. The gallery maintains a strong regional interest in local and international artistsā artworks. Vancouver Fine Art Gallery is proud to present a collection of the finest original paintings and sculptures from established modern-day contemporary, French impressionists, and Old Masters.
10.Ā Uno Langmann Limited is a second-generation family business founded in 1977 by Uno Langmann. The Gallery specializes in the finest quality European and North American paintings from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. The elegant, neoclassical surroundings of the gallery also showcase a careful selection of antique furniture, silver and objets d’art.
11.Ā Ukama Gallery specializes in original stone sculpture, the gallery represents over 200 highly skilled emerging and world-renowned artists from Zimbabwe. Working with local partners, each unique work of art is personally selected with an eye towards capturing the remarkable variety of styles that flourish in an artistic community that ranges across the country, from well-established artist communities and co-operatives, to the many hard-to-reach rural areas.
12.Ā Malaspina is Vancouverās non-profit print media hub since 1975. The studio and gallery were established by a group of printmaking students, fellows, and instructors from the Vancouver School of Art (now the Emily Carr University of Art + Design). Malaspina programs iclude exhibitions, studioĀ rentals, workshops, mentorships, archives, residencies, and sales. Malaspina occupies a 2,500 square foot facility on Granville Island.
13.Ā Vancouver Studio Glass offers a firsthand glimpse into fine studio glass production. Our knowledgeable staff can walk you through the space and provide you with information on the glass process and the artists themselves. The gallery represents the finest of Canadian glass. We promote and encourage innovative dynamic talent and present our artists with an integrity and respect that showcases their individual styles and techniques.
14.Ā The Federation Gallery is a division of The Federation of Canadian Artistsāa national organization to unite artists, art critics and persons interested in art; to promote common aims to assert the creative importance of art in the national and community life of Canada.Ā We presently have over 2,900 members and 14 chapters across B.C and Alberta and Ontario. We organize 24 exhibitions per year for our own gallery in Vancouver, 5 online-only exhibitions, and an additional 20 or more Federation chapter exhibitions.
15.Ā The Rennie Museum is a contemporary art gallery that presents artworks by local and international artists held in a private collection. The museum is open to the public on Saturdays by appointment only. Bob Rennie, best known as Vancouverās āCondo King”, is a real estate marketer who has sold some of the cityās most high-profile developments. As an art collector, Rennie has amassed one of the largest contemporary collections in Canadaāroughly 350 artists and 2,000 works. Exhibitions reflect issues of identity, social justice, racism, cultural appropriation, and other current issues.
