Welcome

There’s something quietly radical about a map that reveals where creativity pulses, where art communities take root, and where artists share their work.

Canadian Art Map helps people discover Canada's vibrant, world-class art scene. We offer practical planning tools to help you plan visits, explore the scene, and share experiences.

Note from Publisher

The visual arts shape how I see and experience the world—sparking curiosity, reflection, and a deeper sense of connection with others and the world at large.

One of the central motivations behind creating Canadian Art Map, is to encourage people to get out and experience that sense of curiosity and discovery for themselves. I want people to encounter Canadian artists, galleries, museums, cultural sites, and public art—because engaging with art makes life richer and more meaningful.

I’ve worked in the arts since the early 1980s as a curator, gallery director, designer, and publisher, organizing exhibitions and events and collaborating with artists and arts organizations across Canada.

This platform brings those experiences together in an independent, community-focused resource. Focused advertising and premium listings help cover costs, and allow Canadian Art Map to support and celebrate the visual arts in Canada.
