Spirit Gallery

Art Galleries (Commercial)

Description

Spirit Gallery is a warm and welcoming Indigenous owned art gallery and gift shop featuring Northwest Coast Native art. Erin Sam, who grew up in West Vancouver, worked at the gallery part time while in high school and took over management in 1997, around the time she met her husband, renowned Squamish/Kwakwaka’wakw artist Klatle-bhi.  They married in 2000 and purchased the Spirit Gallery in 2003. In the gallery you will discover a diverse and impressive collection of contemporary and traditional art and design, including silver, gold and copper jewellery, masks, totem poles, stone, sculpture, prints, clothing, and wide range of unique gifts. We aspire to showcase the best in First Nations art and share an understanding of the stories behind the art. We represent numerous established and emerging artists from many different First Nations communities. Spirit Gallery overlooks spectacular Howe Sound in the quaint and vibrant community of Horseshoe Bay at the northern edge of West Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Horseshoe Bay is host to a major B.C. Ferries terminal serving Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast and is the gateway to the scenic Sea to Sky highway leading to Squamish and the Whistler Mountain resort area.
