Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire

Art Galleries / Museums (Public)

Description

The Museum of Fine Arts of Mont-Saint-Hilaire exists to encourage the visual arts, to disseminate artistic knowledge, to acquire, conserve, collect, showcase and exhibit works of art. Initiated by the artist André Michel, the organization was incorporated on January 28, 1991, under the name of Musée d’art de Mont-Saint-Hilaire. If in a region which can be proud of having welcomed artists such as Paul-Émile Borduas, Ozias Leduc and Jordi Bonet to its lands, it was therefore self-evident that an institution of this type should see the light of day and concentrate as a priority its efforts around the work and thoughts of these three artists who marked the visual panorama of Quebec.
