Description

Galerie d’art Antoine-Sirois is a flagship institution, presenting exhibitions of contemporary art by regional, national, and international artists. The institution is connected to the Cultural Centre at the Université de Sherbrooke. Being rooted in the university community, it promotes research and the development of knowledge about contemporary art practices. , have impacted on its mission, which is strongly focused on bringing the public closer to cutting-edge artistic content. The gallery is also the custodian of an art collection comprising over 2,000 works of art, including the André-Le-Coz collection of 120,000 negatives and 166 photos of the performing arts of Quebec, from 1954 to 1995. The gallery’s collection is spread across the three campuses of the University – the main campus, the health campus and the Longueuil campus.
