Cobalt Art Gallery

Art Galleries (Commercial)

Description

Cobalt Art Gallery is housed in the historic “Chubb Building,” built in 1878, and offers a broad range of paintings, drawings, prints, and sculpture from prominent Canadian and International artists. Our holdings feature a special emphasis on the art of the Atlantic Region, as well as Inuit sculpture and Persian rugs. Providing an extensive selection of fine and decorative artworks in diverse mediums, in addition to a comprehensive survey of local artists. Visit us at our new location on the corner of Princess and Prince William: we look forward to sharing with you fine examples of still-life painting, landscapes, antiques, portraits, nudes and other artworks spanning from the 18th century, through to the present. Within the gallery we also have a live-in cat by the name of Lucky; feel free to give her a scratch on the head during your visit! She’s very friendly (and she seems to have her group of fans) – she won’t bother dogs, if you happen to bring your four-legged family member into our pet-friendly establishment. If you are severely allergic to/afraid of cats, notify us and we can temporarily put her in the office.
