Black Artists' Networks in Dialogue (BAND)
At BAND, we’re reimagining what an art institution can be. Black-owned, Black-focused, and proudly serving a diverse public, we operate—from Canada to the world—as:
A connector —linking artists and cultural workers with audiences, mentors, and opportunities.
A catalyst —sparking dialogue on culture, sector equity, and creative possibility.
A compass —guiding emerging Black artists as they shape their practice and amplify their voices.
To deepen this impact, we’re transforming our Victorian home at 19 Brock Avenue into an accessible, purpose-built house museum for Black artistic expression. When the doors reopen, visitors will experience flexible galleries, studio residencies, and green spaces designed for community gatherings.
This next chapter invites an expanded network of collaborators, patrons, and partners. Everything we do is rooted in dialogue—affirming art as a vital conduit for belonging.
