Peer Gallery

Art Galleries (Commercial)

Description

Peer Gallery is an artists’ co-operative gallery, formed in 2001. The gallery is worth a special trip to the town of Lunenburg and to Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Located in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Peer emphasizes a diversity in contemporary art viewing. Abstraction and figurative themes in painting, drawing, mixed media, fused glass work, wood turning, original prints are some of the forms of artistic expression shown. April to December, the members exhibit changes monthly. In the spring and fall, the gallery hosts solo exhibitions of its members. Peer Gallery was honoured by the Province of Nova Scotia in 2013 for its cultural importance to Lunenburg County.
