Albert Gilles was adventurous, passionate, intuitive, creative, and non-conformist spirit. The museum reflects on the life and work of Albert Gilles, a copper craftsman: from his childhood to his learning of the art of repoussé, to his American years and his achievements commissioned by celebrities, to his talent put at the service of the church. Albert Gilles Cuivres d’art / Musée Albert Gilles is also a family story. One in which his love of the art of the repoussé (copper artist) has been carried on since his death, by his wife, daughters, and granddaughter.
