Newfoundland: Explore Art Newfoundland

Explore Art Newfoundland. Explore Art NL was created because of a belief in the power of art to draw people together, start conversations, and attract visitors to the unique landscape and talented artistic voices of our province. Public art also plays an important role in humanizing built environments, reflecting our evolving culture, and invigorating public spaces, inviting people to spend more time in a location. Explore Art NL aims to help members of the public, tourists, art-lovers, and the “art-curious” among us discover the artworks in our own backyard and appreciate how paint, steel, bronze, rock, and yarn can be used to generate conversations, experiences, and a sense of place. People are encouraged to use the app to interact and engage with public art safely and are invited to share their images on social media, helping promote municipalities across the province in the process. Click here for more dates and details.

Canadian Art Forum…

Welcome to Canadian Art Forum—a space for sharing stories and dialogue about Canadian Art and culture. While there are a number of online sites and publications that promote Canadian art this site does more. It doesn’t just show you where things are, it reveals where creativity pulses, where communities take root, and where people resist invisibility by making and sharing Canadian art. In a national context like Canada’s—where land, memory, and culture are often contested, and at a time when our national identities are being questioned and challenged—mapping art becomes a way of mapping voice, resilience, and presence.

So let’s talk about how we do that. Forward me a post or story about Canadian art or a Canadian art exhibition or event—one that inspired you or offered you a new perspective.
