Pangée

Art Galleries (Commercial)

Description

Run with love and enthusiasm, Pangée (Montreal, Canada) is a contemporary art gallery with a playful and critical curatorial approach that promotes dialogue between the practices. Under the direction of founder Julie Côté, Pangée represents a local and an international lineup of emerging and mid-career artists. In its programming, Pangée focuses on materiality together with personal narratives. The curators are interested in a vast range of media by bringing together artists from different geographies exploring common themes or sensibilities in their practice. Pangée operates out of a historic hundred-year-old building – known as the former Czech Consulate – which overlooks the Mont-Royal park.
