Description
The St. John’s Arts and Culture Centre was opened on May 22, 1967. The Centre houses a 983-seat proscenium Main Theatre, a 75 seat black box Basement Theatre, children, adult and reference libraries, rehearsal rooms, and administration offices. The Arts and Culture Centre is a division of the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation. It offers a wide variety of programming from the best that Newfoundland has to offer, local artists and performers, and diverse artists from across Canada and abroad.
